GWK Cultural Park

Tourist Destination

Based on the data from the Badung Tourism Office, the GWK statue stands on a limestone hill at a height of 263 meters above sea level, located in the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park area covering approximately 250 hectares. This magnificent statue, a symbol of Bali, was inaugurated by President Jokowi on September 22, 2018.

The GWK statue reaches a height of 121 meters and weighs 4,000 tons, crafted from copper, steel, and brass materials. Its towering height surpasses that of the Statue of Liberty (93 meters), making the GWK statue visible from a radius of up to 20 kilometers, observable from Kuta and Nusa Dua.

The GWK statue depicts the God Vishnu riding the mythical bird Garuda. Standing at 75 meters tall, with a 70-meter-high foundation and Garuda\'s wingspan stretching 66 meters wide. This statue, representing the deity Vishnu riding Garuda, was sculpted by I Nyoman Nuarta over a period of 28 years.
