About Sababay Winery
Founded in 2010 along the scenic coastline of Teluk Saba (Saba Bay), Sababay was established with a bold mission: to empower Balinese grape farmers and redefine what Indonesia can offer to the world of wine.
At the helm of this movement is a young, women-led team driven by passion, integrity, and adventure—championing a new wave of winemaking rooted in sustainability and community. With determination and imagination, they’ve brought to life what many believed impossible: a world-class winery in the tropical soils of the new latitude.
Our journey is strengthened by international collaboration, most notably with our French winemaker from Bordeaux, whose expertise infuses Sababay wines with technical precision and refined artistry. This fusion of French savoir-faire and Balinese terroir results in wines that are not only award-winning, but rich in cultural identity and craftsmanship.
Today, Sababay proudly produces wines that are locally grown, sustainably made, and globally recognized—crafted with state-of-the-art technology, responsible farming, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
Our Signature Experience: Tour & Taste
We warmly invite BBTF participants to join our exclusive “Tour & Taste” experience—a guided journey through the story and soul of Sababay Winery.
Explore our mini farmer showcase vineyard at joglo (traditional house), walk through the production area, and learn about the winemaking process from vine to bottle and end by enjoying the wine tasting under the trees in the tropical garden.
Discover how we work hand-in-hand with local farmers, educational approach to market and apply discipline winemaking techniques to bring out the best of Bali’s tropical grapes.
as mentioned, at the end the tour with a guided tasting session in our charming mini garden, where you’ll savor three signature Sababay wines, each presented with insight, passion, and care.
