Looking Ahead to Quality and Sustainable Tourism

Looking Ahead to Quality and Sustainable Tourism

Bali & Beyond Travel Fair outlines its brand positioning as Indonesia’s leading International Tourism and Travel Exhibition driving industry stakeholders, both private and public, to work together and implement joint recovery strategies.

Considered as one of the most prestigious event in the industry, BBTF activates the Indonesian tourism sector as a yearly meeting place for international tour operators buying products and services offered by tourism sellers in view of building inspired and sustainable business relationships.

Making the most of past trade shows and determined to grow bigger each year, the BBTF committee is now set and has proudly announced the event’s 9th edition that will be held in June 14-17, 2023 at the Bali International Convention Centre (BICC), Nusa Dua.

The new logo has been developed based on the Nawa Sanga, Balinese philosophy representing spiritual cardinal directions as well as the nine most sacred temples of Bali. Abode of the Dewata Nawa Sanga – the nine gods guardians of the compass who protect the harmony of the people.

Nine temples that were built according to calculations made by Balinese ancestors inspired by constellations of stars, nebulae and comets.

The number nine is a symbol of perfection so with the continuous support of our dedicated stakeholders, this upcoming 9th BBTF 2023 is expected to be a milestone in the BBTF history.

Nine also conveys spiritual awakening and service to humanity, holistic values in full harmony with our yearly themes of quality and sustainability.

Putu Winastra, chairman of the Association of the Indonesian Tours & Travel Agencies (ASITA) Bali Chapter and Chairman of the committee for BBTF 2023, expressed that the travel industry has so far responded enthusiastically to the 2023 event planning.  “…by identifying opportunities arising and driving confidence in Indonesia’s tourism sector, the travel industry should be able to lead the global economic growth” Putu Winastra said.

Next year topic is about reconnecting quality and sustainable tourism – a strategic theme highly relevant to present and future business trends. BBTF promotes the concept of quality tourism where visitors enhance their journey at destination through responsible behaviour and attitudes.

“We facilitate and encourage interaction between tourists and local communities in order to generate various intangible and practical benefits, from increased awareness of cultural, environmental, and economic issues to improve investment in local business ecosystem.” Putu Winastra added to represent the committees and partners.
